Talk:Master Hand
Was Master Hand simply "defeated" by Tabuu as stated in the article, or was he killed? If the latter, the article should be edited as such. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.89.98.167 (talk • contribs) 21:48, 29 April 2008
- To the trophies, it's pretty much the same thing. --Phred 22:12, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- True. turning into a trophy is sorta death to them. Getting defeated also turns them into a trophy....but I think the master hand is excluded from the whole "trophy" thing since he's defeated but never turned into a trophy, that is refering to classic mode. All he does is (somehow) screams and explosions happen around him. Unlike bowser in melee's adventure mode where upon defeat he would fall into the abyss as a trophy on final destination, but on higher difficulties he would come back up as a trophy break out of his trophy state and become giga bowser....defeated falls again and trophy explodes. Carbonkirby 22:27, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
I don't think he didn't die no one exactly knows what happend to him maybe that suggests that there will be another instalment-207.241.247.30 17:00, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- As much money as the series has made, making another seems really obvious unless they get bored with it between the years. Carbonkirby (talk) 17:11, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
he was killed temporaly. they couldnt kill him or the the smash bros series ends. they killed him tempory hell live again. kinda like a trophie bieng revived see what i mean? Wallyx (talk) 23:10, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
Is it possible Master Hand is the leader of the fighting polygons wire frames or alloys?(Flip62899 (talk) 23:07, May 26, 2010 (UTC))
i dount he died a mean c'mon its Master Hand he killed me more times then any other ssb character (Crazy Hand 2nd and Snake 3rd)if he wanted to he would haved killed Tabuu Killerface45 (talk) 16:49, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
Now think about it, whether master hand truly died or not, he is forever tapped in subspace since he was not seen with the fighters in the end, unless he were to be telaported from subspace to another location, but would be unlikely since he is dead/unconscious. that is unless Crazy Hand were to be involved this whole time and helped his fallen partner [SSB Fan:EAQL] (November 7, 2011)—Preceding unsigned comment added by EAQL (talk • contribs) 21:17, 7 November 2011 (EDT)

There is an hand (without an glove) in the opening sequence in melee. isn't it master hand? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.30.145.34 (talk • contribs) 21:33, 31 May 2009
- Probably not. I think Master Hand always wears his glove. Maybe it was Peach or Zelda or whoever was in that stadium reviving those trophies (sorta like the first cutscene of the Subspace Emissary). But I'm just guessing here. movie138music - ( talk ) 16:17, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

Master Hand: a briefly playable character?
I think Master Hand is the hand cruser in the character select menu.Jack O'Donnald (talk) 18:42, December 1, 2009 (UTC)
- Well, it could be possible, seeing how they're these claims that he actually created the world of Smash himself, and he is supposedly creator of the characters in SBB. However, he isn't "playable", he's just for selecting a character in that one place. Good question, though. HavocReaper48!! 21:26, December 1, 2009 (UTC)
good thinking that probaly is Master Hand i never thought of that its right hand so i say yes Master Hand is playable without hacking but only briefly Killerface45 (talk) 16:44, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
One of my favorite characters
This guy is my 2nd favorite SSB Character. Hey, I know a glitch on how to unlock him in the original 64 smash brothers. It can only be done with the 64 emulator Project64. Here's the link to download Project64: [1]. This emulator does not work with these video cards:Matrox G200 or G400, ATI Rage Pro, 3DFX Voodoo Banshee, and 3DFX Voodoo 1 or 2. It also only works with Microsoft Windows. -- ACSBehemothHellcatCruiser (talk) 23:38, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
- This talk page is for disscussion of the article. This is not a place to disscuss your favorite character. If you believe that your glitch works, post it on the article. Mr. Anon teh awsome 01:13, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
Something weird
Hey, I read if the Master Hand gun attack can't be evaded with crouching. But, when I played Classic mode with Kirby, when Master Hand prepared to use the gun attack. I quickly tried to crouch, regardless with it's useless. But, when Master Hand shoot, IT MISSED! So, may I change the content of this page a little to tell people about this fact?Kirbythe Amazing 04:02, 12 April 2011 (EDT)
- You should note all the characters that can duck under the bullet, it is most likely Bowser wouldn't be able to but if kirby can that means some other characters like jigglypuff, snake and squirtle could as well.--Shaun's Wiji Dodo talk 04:14, 12 April 2011 (EDT)
Split
I think it might be useful to split this article into [[Master Hand]], [[Master Hand (SSB)]], [[Master Hand (SSBM)]], and [[Master Hand (SSBB)]]. Up until now, only playable characters have multiple articles dedicated to their various playable appearances, but considering how Master Hand is a boss that appears in all three games (and will undoubtedly appear in any future games in the series), giving him the split treatment will allow better division of information. The resulting [[Master Hand]] article would end up being the weakest link, since unlike playable characters he has no history outside the series, but I think it would still be a good idea. Toomai Glittershine The Researcher 12:17, 17 July 2011 (EDT)
- Link (SSBB): 32,857 bytes long. Master Hand: 18,686 bytes long. Many of the playable character article pages are much longer than this page. I don't believe it is necessary to split this up unless the 3DS/Wii U game pushes this article to over 32,000 megabytes, which I don't think will happen. Also, these 4 articles would be, on average, 4,000-5,000 bytes big, making them about as long as this page, which isn't tiny, but in my opinion is maybe a little too small for a major character's page. In conclusion, while not a terrible idea, I don't think it's necessary to split this article at this point, as the page isn't that big and the resulting pages might be a tad too small. DoctorPain99 {ROLLBACKER} 12:36, 17 July 2011 (EDT)
- The problem is that Master Hand's move really needs to be expanded, and as most character's have their moveset taking up most of the page, if we include MH's full moves, then the article might get much bigger. Mr. Anon (talk) 12:54, 17 July 2011 (EDT)
- Are the move sets insufficient? I know for Brawl it is, but SSB and Melee look fine. It won't add that much to the article. DoctorPain99 {ROLLBACKER} 12:57, 17 July 2011 (EDT)

- Look at the timestamps of the posts in this section; it was resolved three years ago, so bumping it was completely unnecessary. Scr7(talk · contribs) 09:39, 4 July 2014 (EDT)

Smash 4
You can see him for a split-second in the modes trailer for Smash 4. Nutta Butta (talk) 00:54, 11 June 2014 (EDT)
- Yeah. People claim that Master hand is in the 3ds 2014 trailer. there is a hand in there getting defeated by kirby, but think about it. the hand was on the left side of the screen. master hand is usually on the right. it was probably crazy hand who was in the trailer Harro (talk) 20:10, 21 June 2014 (EDT)
You sure?
Are you SURE the white, dissasembled hand in the SSB intro is Master Hand? It COULD be:
- Crazy Hand, hinting that he would be in the next game.
- An unnamed hand that COULD appear again in Sm4sh.

- I'm pretty sure that you can hear MH's death cry from Brawl, and I wouldn't be surprised if the death animation is reused from Brawl as well. The point is, why would it not be MH? intendrone42 16:47, 3 July 2014 (EDT)
Think about it this way: Why would MH torcher his plushies? I am JigglyPurin. (talk) 22:03, 3 July 2014 (EDT)
- Okay, three things. First, "torture". Second, MH is the boss of 1P/Classic in all three prior games, so it makes little sense to alter that. Third, please review SW:TALK. Miles (talk) 22:08, 3 July 2014 (EDT)
I meant in the intro! I am JigglyPurin. (talk) 22:18, 3 July 2014 (EDT)
- You're just speculating, and this speculation is pretty off. It won't be a third hand; the series didn't have much of a plot to begin with, so adding a plot twist that deep wouldn't be appropriate for Sakurai, especially when Smash 4 lacks a story mode. Trying to pass him off as Crazy Hand also doesn't work because you're just randomly assigning personalities to the bosses. Using random speculation points of my own, the fighters could be doing no real harm to each other, and Master Hand just wanted them to have a bit of a battle so that he could fight the strongest one or something. Basically, you're speculating, and there's no real evidence for what you're saying. MegaTron1XD 22:23, 3 July 2014 (EDT)

Split 2
This page needs a full-blown rewrite anyway. I think it's time to split it into sub-game pages like we do for playable characters, because things are just totally confusing how they currently are. Toomai Glittershine The Incomprehensible 00:05, 12 September 2014 (EDT)
