I've been thinking lately, and it seems possible that he is simply here to represent the Mega Evolution mechanic in X and Y. Think about it. Lucario can become MegaLucario, which would be a much needed improvement over his previous Final Smash, so there is a strong chance that we may be seeing MegaLucario in this game very soon. --EpicWendigo (talk) 15:48, 3 April 2014 (EDT)

This is not the right place to discuss speculation. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 16:37, 3 April 2014 (EDT)

this isn't confirmed (about Lucario) but since Mega Charizard's mega evolution isn't obtained by final smash I think Lucario wont be either --Reshiram1105 (talk) 20:29, 23 May 2014 (EDT)

Uh, it was confirmed that Mega Charizard X was a Final Smash... Red (talk) Red 20:32, 23 May 2014 (EDT)

Lucario's Final Smash is Mega Lucario! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.40.156.202 (talkcontribs) 10:27, July 11, 2014 (CDT)

First of all, where did you hear that? We cannot add that info without an official source. Second, please sign your comments. Berrenta (talk) 11:38, 11 July 2014 (EDT)

I don't get why you guys just don't put that Lucario's final smash is Mega Lucario. It's common sense. If Charizard's final smash is his mega evolution, why would Lucario be treated any differently? -BrittF

I could easily argue that Lucario automatically becomes Mega Lucario upon reaching a damage amount to gain a super boost, and remains that will until he is KO'd. The aura mechanic is clearly a major part of him, so who are you to argue that it is not a potential trigger for his Mega Evolution? Lucario also had his own unique Final Smash in Brawl to begin with, and the theory that I suggested would allow him to keep both Aura Storm and a Mega Lucario form. After all, some people actually like using Aura Storm, so why would it suddenly be a 100% guarantee that it'll be replaced with a Mega Evolution? In addition, you can't argue that just because X has a Final Smash, Y must have it as well. Pikachu has Volt Tackle. Charizard had Fire Blast in his contribution to Triple Finish. By relationship as a Pokémon, Jigglypuff's Final Smash should be something like Hyper Voice while Lucario would perhaps gain a Final Smash similar to Close Combat. This is clearly not the case, as they both received Final Smashes that are completely different from anything seen. Relationship does not apply Final Smash relationship. This could all be invalidated if Sakurai up and said that Lucario's Final Smash is Mega Lucario, but until he does, any fan theory can be suggested for the usage of the Mega Lucario form and be equally valid as long as it is just logically sound. This sort of speculation isn't allowed, and treating Mega Lucario as a Final Smash is just a fan theory that's based on one logical assumption, while treating Mega Lucario as a form change related to damage is another fan theory that's also based on logical assumption.
