can ike do this? or other charcters in genral? falco?--tarrant1400 (talk) 00:36, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

TL theoretically can, but it's dangerous. If the enemy airdodges, you die. MK can Footstool DAir too, but it's not a spike. Marth's Dair is the only one that starts up fast enough and has enough range to connect.68.239.229.60 00:02, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Also, much of the data is erroneous. Please fix with regard to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=magcZxxaO7I 68.239.229.60 00:02, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Spike?

This article uses the word spike. I thought spikes didn't exist.--MegaTron1XDDecepticon.png 01:33, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

Technically yes, it should say "Meteor Smash". But when it comes to Brawl, many people use the teo terms interchangeably. Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png eXemplary Logic 01:37, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

Name

Actually, vertical spacing is the correct title for this article. Can you (Mega and Anon) move all technique (verbs) back? Thanks. BNK [E|T|C] 04:18, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

I see your point, but Glide should stay as it is, because "glide" is a noun, unlike "Float" and "vertical space". Sir Anon the great 04:22, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Move

Move to Marth's footstool spike I have never heard anybody refer or even say it as Vertical spacing, not even the pros even mention it once. It's probably best to have it simple. Dots MewtwoMS.png The Barrel roll 18:47, 13 October 2013 (EDT)

People don't even use this in competitive play, (not that Marth's dair is any good). Seriously I don't even know if this technique merits an article, since it has little to no significant impact on the Brawl community or Project M community. Perhaps mention it on the Marth page?--BrianDon't try me!Falco.gif 20:00, 13 October 2013 (EDT)

Move/Delete Well the fact that it seems like a legitimate technique that can be used in competitive play keeps me from requesting deletion, even if no one uses it. Awesome Cardinal 2000 21:42, 13 October 2013 (EDT)

How is it legitimate if no one uses it? It takes an INSANE read to get a footstool someone when they are far offstage and furthermore space it right such that you land the terrible and already insanely difficult to land abomination you call Marth's brawl down air.--BrianDon't try me!Falco.gif 21:53, 13 October 2013 (EDT)
Alright then, I'll change it to delete since a dair by itself is usually a better option. Awesome Cardinal 2000 22:03, 13 October 2013 (EDT)

Move Dots is right, simplicity is best. RoyboyX Talk 22:26, 13 October 2013 (EDT)

Hmm... Brian has a point about this. You see no one in Brawl competitive play use this technique despite what the video shows about how to pull it off. I question if this technique is just made up by some guy and its just a simple something. Dots MewtwoMS.png The Wii 22:51, 13 October 2013 (EDT)

Brian, it's legitimate because the technique works, footstool to dair sweetspot is a guaranteed combo on around half the cast, and certainly merits mention. However, its impact on competitive play is pretty much nonexistent, so it doesn't deserve an article to itself. Move the information to Marth's article and on to the eventual dair page. Per OT. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 10:56, 14 October 2013 (EDT)

In that case, merge with Marth. RoyboyX Talk 11:09, 14 October 2013 (EDT)

I'd say merge with Marth (SSBB)/Down aerial when it's created. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 11:13, 14 October 2013 (EDT)
Scr brings up a good point, I think it would be a good idea to mention that it can be done on that page. Awesome Cardinal 2000 11:41, 14 October 2013 (EDT)
Then let's make that page. RoyboyX Talk 11:48, 14 October 2013 (EDT)

Move to Marth (SSBB)/Down aerial Both Brian and OT bring up a good point about the technique. While it does work, it is pretty much never used in competitive play, making it not so notable. Its best to have it on his dair page so it could cover everything, even the minor parts such as this technique. Dots MewtwoMS.png The Gold 16:07, 14 October 2013 (EDT)

So who will be the lucky man to make that page? RoyboyX Talk 21:05, 15 October 2013 (EDT)

I could make the page but making a move subpage takes a very long time to me. Dots MewtwoMS.png The Portal 21:20, 15 October 2013 (EDT)
Even creating part of it would be a start. RoyboyX Talk 21:22, 15 October 2013 (EDT)

Because of consensus I am going to be changing the tag to ask for a rename to Marth's dair page. RoyboyX Talk 22:19, 16 October 2013 (EDT)
