Ledge-stalling is using the invincibility frames gained from grabbing onto the edge of a stage repeatedly for the purposes of edgehogging or mindgames while recovering. It is also known as planking.

There are several ways to ledgestall, such as simply ledgehopping repeatedly with certain characters, or using a character's up or side special move (such as with Illusion and Fire Fox).
