This discussion is in regards to a proposed change on SmashWiki. The discussion must first meet with a consensus before it is implemented.

My proposal regards the following articles:

• Super Smash Bros. 4
• Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS
• Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
• Cross-platform comparison of Super Smash Bros. 4

All of these articles have significant amounts of overlapping information, to the point that whole sections are made redundant. I propose consolidating the content into the most relevant articles, cutting down on this redundancy. I suggest relegating the greater Smash 4 article for general information and content shared between the two games, the 3ds and wii u articles specifically being about information exclusive to that particular version, and then getting rid of the cross-platform article completely as all of its content should be migrated to the other three articles.The Other Jared (talk) 23:05, December 12, 2024 (EST)

Oppose. I believe the overlap is needed because people reading only one article will be out of the loop of the information otherwise. The opening sections look distinct enough, and listing the fighters and stages in each is valuable to have. --Meester Tweester (talk) 01:09, December 13, 2024 (EST)
