HIKARU is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Sora, Roy, and Donkey Kong player from Osaka, Japan who is currently residing in Kanto, Japan. He was considered the best Roy player in Japan and the best Donkey Kong player in the world when he was actively competing. He also previously played Pokémon Trainer and Luigi, and was considered one of the best players with both characters in Japan. HIKARU is ranked 59th on the LumiRank 2023 with wins over players such as acola, Miya, Glutonny, Bloom4Eva, Kameme, Tea, Asimo, and ProtoBanham.
In SSB4, HIKARU was a Donkey Kong main, and was considered one of the best Donkey Kong players in the world along with Tweek and Konga. He is currently ranked 13th on the JAPAN Power Rankings and 48th on the Panda Global Rankings 100. He has taken sets off of top players such as VoiD, Mr.R, Abadango, komorikiri, ESAM, WaDi, Tsu, and falln.
In September 2023, HIKARU announced that he would be retiring from Ultimate to focus on competing in Street Fighter 6.[1]
