PAL

You claim that the Koopalings are called "Bowser's Minions" in Europe. My claim is that the Koopalings are called "Bowser's Minions" in PAL regions. PAL is used by video game players to talk about areas that use the PAL television standard, which is Europe and some other places. Therefore, for this situation, PAL = Europe and therefore we mean the same thing. --CanvasK (talk) 13:50, March 20, 2022 (EDT)

I don't excatly understand 78.225.38.5 13:59, March 20, 2022 (EDT)
Televisions (TVs) in different countries display images/video differently depending on that country's electrical system and TV regulations. American (or at least United States of America) TVs were based on the NTSC standard, and since every TV in America uses NTSC then America is called an NTSC region. In Europe, and some other areas, the TVs used the PAL standard, and since every TV in Europe uses PAL then Europe is called a PAL region. You can look at this map and see that PAL covers most of Europe. Since PAL covers more than just Europe, it is better to say "PAL regions" because it includes more of the areas where "Bowser's Minions" is used. --CanvasK (talk) 14:07, March 20, 2022 (EDT)

there is not any TV… whatever, that not only in PAL or in Europe 78.225.38.5 07:07, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
Take a look at this image and see if that helps you understand; European TVs use PAL, Australian TVs use PAL, some Asian TVs use PAL, so for simplicity we call those all PAL. Stop edit warring over this. --CanvasK (talk) 07:22, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
Don’t try to say I’m ignoring ur arguments cuz u also ignoring my comment summary, the Koopalings are telled Bowser minions globally 78.225.38.5 07:51, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
Globally... in countries that use PAL. In the countries that don't use PAL, they aren't called that. --CanvasK (talk) 07:53, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
From a historical standpoint, the regional difference exists. This is enough for us to make the distinction, even if the terms are not used today. There is nothing to discuss on this matter. Black Vulpine the 🦊Furry🐺. Furries make the internets go! :3 07:54, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
decidedly you still don’t understand that I don’t care about the PAL region, moreover your arguments make no sense and have nothing to do whit what I wanted to say at the beginning, in fact I just say a minor word about Europe and you started to talking about something that has nothing to do whit the subject of bases and after you complain that I ignore your arguments, if you also ignore my comments, well that give me a very good reason to ignors yours, but what really make me angry is that you like dare to even put the blame on me without even bothering to read (or think about) my editing comments and you just settle for believing that you what you say is true 78.225.38.5 09:01, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
Ok, let me make sure I understand your argument. You are saying that they are called "Bowser's minions" in not just PAL but also Europe, correct? --CanvasK (talk) 09:30, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
yep, and also in many other countries 78.225.38.5 09:40, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
Europe and the "many other countries" is what we, as a community, refer to as PAL. The same way "the Americas" includes North America, Central America, and South America. Or how "South-East Asia" includes China, Japan, etc. PAL encompasses all of the countries that use "Bowser's minions". --CanvasK (talk) 09:48, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
you mean for smash bros or generally, cuz they are telled like that from NSMBWII they are telled like that in korean (particularly) and in NSMB2 Official USA website, otherwise I also said something about the Koopa kid i'll talk about it on the Koopalings talk page 78.225.38.5 10:00, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
You can see PAL being used for a lot of games like Pokémon, Kirby, or Mario, especially in the context of speedruns. Modern games don't really need the distinction, but it was everywhere for older games and has stuck around. We mainly cover Japanese (because they make the games) and English (because this is an English wiki), so Korean is likely to be glossed over. As for the other change about "formerly", that can probably go back; didn't have much time this morning to be detailed with my revert. --CanvasK (talk) 10:29, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
The fact that you don’t care about the PAL region is wholly irrelevant, and any attempt to disavow its existence WILL be ignored, whether you like it or not. Our mission is a wiki is to gather comprehensive and COMPLETE information. If there are differing names between regions, we will document them, and you cannot stop us from doing so.Black Vulpine the 🦊Furry🐺. Furries make the internets go! :3 10:33, April 18, 2022 (EDT)

April 2022

Some may have noticed that I was not very active on this wiki, actually I contribute here with my IP (since the beginning) but now… I would like to creat an account however… I just would like to know a thing, does the creation of an account require personal information (like email address or date of birth) ?? 78.225.38.5 06:31, April 26, 2022 (EDT)

No personal information is required, just come up with a username and password. Email is only required if you forget your password and need to reset it, but other than that it's entirely optional. For my signature. Omega Toad, the Toad Warrior. (I'm the best!) 07:21, April 26, 2022 (EDT)
Okay, thanks 78.225.38.5 07:54, April 26, 2022 (EDT)

Edit Warring

When someone reverts your edit, don't continuously revert it back, especially if a proper and solid reason is given. You instead take it to the talk page first and discuss it, and only after it has been discussed and things are agreed upon can it be put back (assuming your edit is what is preferred). Not doing so is edit warring. --CanvasK (talk) 08:05, April 26, 2022 (EDT)

for the moment I’m going to do a pose on this wiki because any case it is always necessary that some things go wrong in my edits, see also the previous message 78.225.38.5 08:18, April 26, 2022 (EDT)
