Xerneas (ゼルネアス, Xerneas) is a creature from the Pokémon series.
Origin
Xerneas is a Fairy-type Legendary Pokémon that serves as the version mascot of Pokémon X, and is categorized within the Pokédex at #716 as the "Life Pokémon" is a member of the Aura Trio of Kalos along with Yveltal and Zygarde. Legend says that it possesses the power to bestow eternal life.
Geomancy is Xerneas' signature move, which is a Fairy-type move that only Xerneas can learn naturally: after one turn spent charging, it raises the user's Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed by two levels each.

As a Poké Ball Pokémon
Xerneas appears as a Poké Ball Pokémon in Super Smash Bros. 4. Because it is a legendary Pokémon, it can also be summoned by a Master Ball. When summoned, it uses its signature move, Geomancy; this causes all players' attacks to have increased knockback, though the summoner is affected by this boost more than the other players.
In both versions it must be unlocked by completing a specific challenge before being able to appear:
- In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS: play Target Blast at least once.
- In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: break 200 blocks in a single solo game of Trophy Rush as Pikachu.
