User talk:The Jacketed Terrapin/Archive 4
Some rules for my talk page:
- The obvious stuff:
- When making a new thread, please click "new section" at the top (next to "edit this page") and give the thread a subject. Alternatively, you can click "edit this page" anyway and use four equals signs (====) to name your subject, with the subject name between the second and third equal signs (==Like this==). Just be sure to write everything under the latest discussion topic.
- Please indent your comments with a colon (:) when making a reply. The more replies you make to a single thread post, the more colons you should indent with: The first reply should have one, the second one should have two, the third should three, and so on.
- Please sign your comments with four tildes ~~~~.
- After leaving a message, please check back to my talk page to see if I have responded to you. If I have made a thread on your or another user's talk page, please post your reply there instead of making a new thread about the same topic here.
- No personal attacks. Doesn't matter if it's directed towards me or another person, please write your message to be as neutral as possible.
- Please do not use my talk page as a means to chat to me about off-wiki business.
- Some personal rules:
- Please do not ask me to add anything to my personal sandboxes. If something new comes out, you don't have to remind me, as it's very much likely I already know about it and it may just be that I don't have the time to update my sandbox(es).
- I have no interest in the competitive side of the Super Smash Bros. series, so please avoid making any discussions related to it (Smasher pages, tournaments, tier lists, etc.).
- Although SmashWiki is not censored, I'd prefer if you avoid the use of any "slurs" (specifically, anything relating to race, religion, gender, sexuality, or disabilities), even if the context you use them in is not supposed to be directed towards the group in question.
April Fools edits
- I have an April Fools submission I'd like to send for the "Dependent Universes" section of List of minor third-party universes. This will continue off a gag I did the previous year which was a joke about non-game franchises. I may add more to this once the day comes (if I even remember to add it), but here's a mock-up - it would be added alongside the existing dependent universes in alphabetical order.
- Sam and Friends is an early puppetry television show that aired locally in the Washington DC area between 1955 and 1961. Kermit the Frog debuted in this program.
- The Tracey Ullman Show is a variety sketch show aired on Fox between 1987 and 1990. The Simpson family made their debut in the animated segments of this series.
- Love, American Style is an anthology comedy series that aired between 1969 and 1974. The Fonz debuted in Love and the Television Set, a segment that aired on an episode of this program.
- Wallace & Gromit is an English claymation film series created by Nick Park. Shaun the Sheep made his debut in the third short film of the series, A Close Shave.
- The Intertidal Zone is an unreleased educational comic book illustrated by Stephen Hillenburg in 1984. It was the main inspiration for SpongeBob SquarePants and featured a character named Bob the Sponge, who would later evolve into SpongeBob.
- Linus the Lionhearted is an animated television series aired between 1964 and 1965 that was intended to sell cereal. Sugar Bear debuted in this series
- ITV Digital was a UK television provider between 1998 and 2002. Munkeh was originally created as a mascot for this service, but upon its closure was transfered over to PG Tips, which he represents in Smash.

- Think you got the wrong person. AFD submissions go to Administrators, which SuperSmashTurtles is not. --CanvasK (talk) 00:51, March 24, 2021 (EDT)
- Sorry about that, I'll redirect my request now.--What could possibly go wrong? - BubzieBobkat (talk) 02:40, March 24, 2021 (EDT)
April Fool's Conflict
I noticed you want to prank the K. Rool page, but I would also have at least one image I'd like to add onto the page.
Would you be willing to compromise and allow it while not withdrawing your prank at all or should I just take it somewhere else?
TotallyNotAutomated (talk) 21:00, March 31, 2021 (EDT)
- That depends on what the image(s) in question is/are, as I plan to replace the origin artworks and spirits of K. Rool with artwork and screenshots of DiC Bowser and his alter-egos. SuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle Tribe 21:04, March 31, 2021 (EDT)
- All I want to do is add a gif of the cartoon K. Rool dancing wildly to the gallery on the bottom, which is why I believe our contributions can coexist. TotallyNotAutomated (talk) 21:08, March 31, 2021 (EDT)
- I suppose, but he still must be acknowledged as "King Koopa" to fit with the prank. Perhaps the description could be something like "This design is the inspiration for King Koopa's appearance in the Super Smash Bros. series". SuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle Tribe 21:18, March 31, 2021 (EDT)
- Well, I have two images. The second one, the one I wasn't planning on using, can serve that suggested purpose. The other, the dancing image, also has Simon in it and I was planning on doing something like "A K. Rool player taunts a Simon player" or something like that. Again, if it conflicts too heavily with your prank, I can move the dancing image to the Simon page instead or something to that effect. TotallyNotAutomated (talk) 21:58, March 31, 2021 (EDT)

Can I ask you some stuff?
Hello, I'm not quite often to edit stuff on this site. I want to make sandboxes like you did, can you tell me how? Also how do you insert pictures to this site? Is there a limit to how many pictures I can add?
Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out.
Edit 2: Hello, sorry to bother again I'm the guy who wrote the spirit battle stages page and I'm kind of disinterested in it. I tried to delete it using instructions from the deletion policy page but it doesn't seem to work? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Emerald Opera (talk • contribs) 10:03, April 30, 2021 (EDT)
- Only admins are able to delete pages. For non-admin users, if there's a page you want deleted immediately, all you have to do is use a "speedy delete" tag (just type in {{d|*insert reasoning here*}}; it's generally preferable to put this tag at the very top of the page) and wait for an admin to delete it.
- There's also a standard "delete" tag (same code as the "speedy delete" tag, but replace "d" with "delete"), but that should only be used for pages that likely require a discussion before they can be deleted. SuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle Tribe 06:31, May 1, 2021 (EDT)
- It's been 3 days, how long does it take for admins to delete pages anyway?
- At this point, it pretty much depends on if the admins feels like deleting all of the unneeded junk.
- Also, please remember to sign your comments by ending them with 4 tildes (~). It's also recommended to indent your replies with a colon (:). SuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle Tribe 18:45, May 2, 2021 (EDT)
- You know what I think I'm going to continue the page. One big edit at the time, is that ok? By the way, your statistics page is what inspired me to do this.Emerald Opera (talk) 02:39, May 6, 2021 (EDT)
- Ah, thanks for your kind words.
- Anyway, for my Spirits Statistics page, I tended to only do one series at a time (for example, I would do all the Zelda series spirits in one edit, then the Metroid spirits in another).
- Sometimes, I would have to split one series into two separate edits if their spirit battle quantity was simply too large for me to handle in one edit (for example, I split the edits of the Pokémon spirits between the first four generations for the first edit and the remaining generations for the second).
- Other times, I would do two (sometimes three) series if one series has a small enough quantity of spirit battles (for example, I did all of the Wii Fit, Punch-Out!!, and Pac-Man spirits in one edit).
- So my advice for your sandbox is to only do one series at a time in one edit if you think it's simply too large to do another series in the same edit, but at the same time try to finish as many series as you can if you think you can include them all in one edit. Hope my advice helps. SuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle Tribe 06:21, May 6, 2021 (EDT)
