Planet Zebes is a stage appearing in Super Smash Bros. This stage is themed after a recurring planet Samus visits in the Metroid series. This stage does not return as a past stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee although Brinstar was obviosly inspired by this stage..

There are a total of 5 platforms with one main uneven platform, 3 platforms that can be jumped through and 1 small solid platform that moves vertically. The platforms are slanted however so projectiles may be hard to use.

Acid raises from below the platforms occasionaly and will even submerge platforms. Although the top-most platform will always be above the acid. Touching the acid results in damage and serious knockback although it can save your life if you take a serious fall since it knocks you straight up. Obtaining a Starman will allow the player to touch and walk through the acid without difficulty.

Occasionally Ridley is seen flying in the background.
