Echo Fox (abbreviated as FOX) was a professional E-Sports organization based in the United States and founded by NBA TV analyst, actor and retired NBA champion Rick Fox. An E-Sports advocate, Fox founded Echo Fox in December 2015 as a League of Legends team and purchased the NA LCS slot held by Gravity before signing a roster and expanding into other games. In Spring 2016, the team signed its first fighting game player - Street Fighter player Julio Fuentes - and entered Smash on May 17th, 2016 by signing Mew2King. On November 8th, 2019, Echo Fox was dissolved due to financial issues that pursue after they lost their slot in the League of Legends Championship Series.[1] However the remaining members played under the team banner until the end of their contracts, which took several months to run out. All of them officially announced their departure in early 2020.
