- Donkey Kong and Kirby are the only universes to have their playable antagonists as available fighters, but not any of their playable protagonists.
- Piranha Plant is the only playable antagonist to not be a selectable character in the event.
- Lucina is the only Echo Fighter that is not selectable, but their base fighter is.
- The fighters representing the villains on the banner are also the fighters who appear in both the The Rivals and Best Friends trailers for Ultimate, in which they serve as "arch-rivals" to their respective universes' protagonists.
- Yoshi is the only Mario sub-universe to not have any of its fighters available for this Event Tourney.
- This does not count Mewtwo who was an antagonist in the Pokémon: The First Movie
