Smash Summit 9 is an upcoming national Super Smash Bros. Melee invitational tournament. It will be the ninth installment of the Smash Summit series for Melee, and will be held on February 13th-16th, 2020. Like previous Smash Summits, it will be held at the Summit Gaming House, a private residence in Los Angeles, California, and will be closed to the general public.

Trivia
- This is the first Smash Summit tournament where players can be eliminated by a Swiss pools format instead of the standard double-elimination format.
- As a direct result of this, since more singles sets will be played overall, this is also the first Melee Smash Summit tournament to forgo having a Doubles tournament.
- This is the first Smash Summit where 18 players are competing instead of 16.
