Delphiki is an Ice Climbers player from Rancho Cordova, CA who helped give rise to the crew Nova Complex. He uses the monikers BEAN and DELF in play, with all three names stemming from the character of Julian Delphiki (not to be confused with J_DELPHIKI) in the parallel series of Ender's Shadow novels by Orson Scott Card. He is the younger brother of DRGN, with whom he sometimes teams as Dragon Army, being a combination of a reference to the Ender novels and DRGN's name (he has also teamed with ender under Ender's Game-related names).

Characters

While he mains Ice Climbers and Pichu, he also occasionally uses Fox and Roy.

His Climbers style relies heavily on desynching, and he in fact desynchs much more than most professional Ice Climber players. He has been quoted as saying "I main Popo, but my secondary is Nana."

Delphiki is a regular attendant/organizer of almost all local competitions, and frequently attends tournaments out of the Sacramento Community including NorCal Biweeklies, UCLA Monthlies, Yuba City Monthlies, and attended NCT2 and Super Smash Royale III. Also, he hosts and organizes the Sacramento Biweeklies, and his own Delphiki Games, both in the Sacramento Community.

Vids

It is rumored that Delphiki aims to produce a combo video showcasing his Ice Climbers.

Contributions

Delphiki has written a guide on competitive smash play which focuses on the fluidity and nature of the metagame. It explains the nature of the metagame as related to characters, tournament rules, the community, and the individual player. Also, most tournaments in the Sacramento Community are organized or co-organized by Delphiki and TC1. These tournaments include the Delphiki Games, the Sacramento Biweeklies, and Tyde's Manly Smashfests [1], which feature Nova Complex and many other players in the Sacramento Area. Delphiki is also a moderator/administrator on Nealdt's tia.
