Black Hole Laser (ブラックホール+波動ビーム, Black Hole + Surge Beam) is Palutena's Final Smash.
Overview
In this Final Smash, Palutena uses two powers from Kid Icarus: Uprising: Black Hole and Mega Laser. First, the Black Hole draws in opponents to trap them, then the Mega Laser is fired, inflicting damage. The Mega Laser can hit foes even if the Black Hole does not trap them. The move in total deals 40% damage.
Against one opponent, this Final Smash is overall rather weak in terms of knockback. However, its large range makes it extremely proficient at hitting multiple foes at once, and is therefore ideal for free-for-alls and 8-Player Smashes.
Origin
Black Hole and Mega Laser are two offensive powers available in Kid Icarus: Uprising. Black Hole is exclusive to Together Mode, while Mega Laser can be used in either single player or multiplayer. Black Hole deals minor damage, but pulls enemies into its center and prevents them from leaving a firing range. Mega Laser specifically deals very high damage to a large group of enemies. Their respective traits carry over into SSB4, with the two powers used in conjunction with one another being similar to a strategy some players use in Together Mode.
Trophy Descriptions
- Black Hole Laser
Palutena's Final Smash. After doing a divine twirl, she creates a black hole in front of her, drawing in her opponents. When she's got 'em where she wants 'em, she follows up with a wide laser beam that reaches from one edge of the screen to the other. It even changes direction slightly, just in case someone managed to avoid the black hole.

When she's got 'em where she wants 'em, the next step is a wide laser beam that reaches from one edge of the screen to the other. It even changes direction slightly, for that extra chance of taking out her foes.
