Dark Samus is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. She is an Echo Fighter of Samus. Dark Samus's appearance in the game was announced on August 8th, 2018.

• Dark Samus hovers when walking and running, as opposed to Samus’s more traditional animations.

• Dark Samus is the second playable character who was originally as Assist Trophy. The first is Little Mac.
