Ryu (リュウ, Ryū) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, officially confirmed on June 12th, 2018.

Aesthetics
In 1 on 1 matches, Ryu will always face his opponent just like his origin series, which was made to reduce accidental command inputs for his special moves.. This makes him easier to hit with Disable, and harder to use his BAIR.
