Paula Polestar (ポーラ・ジョーンズ Pōra Jōnzu) is a character in the SNES games, EarthBound. She is the first playable character to join Ness' party. The only move Ness originally learns is PK Flash. She sort of resembles Princess Peach, not only in appearance, but also in that she gets captured a several times in EarthBound. Her PSI moves are PK Freeze, PK Fire, PK Thunder, PSI Magnet and PSI Shield, the first four of which appear in the Super Smash Bros. series as the Special moves of Ness and Lucas, despite originally being used by Paula. She lives at the Polestar Preschool with her mom and dad in Twoson. All the kids who go to the preschool admire Paula. At the near end of the game "Earthbound" she wanted to tell Ness something for a long time, but couldn't remember what it was. Who knows? She might have a crush on Ness.
In Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Paula appears as a medium-sized sticker in Super Smash Brothers Brawl available only for Lucas and Ness. It powers PK moves by 10.
