Tournament history
Entrance to the competitive scene
Locus entered the competitive scene in Summer 2015, and would dominate the Saskatchewan scene. Following his transition to British Columbia to attend UBC, he would continue his steady improvement and begin as an honourable mention on the British Columbia Power Rankings for the Fall 2015 period.
Originally an honourable mention for the Winter 2015 period, at the end of Spring 2016, Locus would be ranked 5th. Following a hiatus in the BC scene, and a return to dominance in Saskatchewan, Locus would return with the start of his new semester and be ranked 3rd for both the Summer and Fall 2016 periods. He attended his first major, EVO 2016, placing 65th.
2GGT: ZeRo Saga and further success
Later that year, at 2GGT: ZeRo Saga, Locus would emerge as a major tournament threat, upsetting 9B, Tweek and Mr.R, placing 9th. He would begin 2017 being ranked 45th on the Panda Global Rankings v2.
At GENESIS 4, he would place 25th, losing two last game last hit sets against Ally and Fatality. He would prove to be a strong force in the MexiCanEU vs Japan Crew Battle, taking down Ranai and 9B along with one stock off of You3, in total taking 7 stocks. The transition to a new year would be signified by his much improved in-region performance, and he and Captain L would become notable competitors in the BC Doubles scene. At 2GGC: Midwest Mayhem Saga, Locus would place 17th.
Becoming the best Ryu
At 2GGC: Civil War, he would take sets from Ally (in the Genesis 4 runback), Samsora, Shuton, and Nairo to place 7th overall, at the most stacked SSB4 tournament of all time. Following his impressive performance, and Trela's retirement, Locus is now considered the best Ryu player.
UBC | OneHand
Locus is famed for his alter-ego: UBC | OneHand, a Captain Falcon player with only one hand. Originally a handicap to challenge himself when he lacked competitive practice partners, UBC | OneHand made its debut in a money match against top Saskatchewan player, Qwexe, where OneHand took the match solidly. Since then, OneHand has improved, establishing a reputation for its performance in friendlies and money matches. He has taken sets off of players such as Blanc, FoCus, and Exodia.

Trivia
- An inside joke has arisen among the BC Smash community that Locus is actually FoCus's brother, a joke extended by the fact that both their tags and first names are differentiated by only one letter.
- Ryu's u-air, u-air, Shoryuken combo has been dubbed "The Locus" after his usage of it against Mr. R at 2GGT: ZeRo Saga.
