The Jack Garden Tournament was a tournament held by Captain Jack in Kyoto, Japan, during August 20th, 2005. At around 116 entrants it is quite possibly the largest Melee tournament ever held in the country. It also involved players from Japan, Canada, Australia, and the United States. It is known for how Bombsoldier, a Japanese Falco player, got incredibly close to defeating Ken in grand finals. It also is known for the Japanese team of Aniki, Bombsoldier, and Mikael beating the American team of Ken, Isai, and UnknownForce. This was one of the few tournaments where Isai was 4-stocked, and Ken was beaten by Aniki, a Japanese Link player who does not utilize wavedashing, in friendlies.
