19xx is a romhack/modification of Super Smash Bros. with the current version being 0.9. The mod adds many features to the game, including a timer for stock matches and updated stage select screen. Currently it is becoming the tournament standard, having been used at GENESIS 3 the largest SSB tournament ever.
Changes
General
- The game boots to a debug screen and in it the player can:
- set to widescreen mode
- enable hitboxes and hurtboxes to be shown
- set the results screen to be skipped
- Mute only the music
- Tournament settings are now default
- Everything is unlocked from the start
- CPUs will be level 9 when accessed
Character select screen
- Alternate costumes are now accessed with C-left and C-right as characters such as Kirby and Captain Falcon had green costumes that were only accessible in doubles, making too many for the four C-buttons, but cycling through with left and right makes it possible to access all of them in free for all(s).
- As the up and down C-buttons were made unused by the last change pressing C-up or C-down now makes it possible to play as the fighting polygon characters instead of costume accessing.
- The fighting polygons have no specials or grabs. This is intentional.
Stage select screen
- Sector Z is replaced by Battlefield
- Yoshi's Island has it's clouds taken away
- Mushroom Kingdom is replaced by Final Destination
- Planet Zebes is replaced by Metal Cavern
