C4 is a powerful plastic explosive that can be modeled like clay into various shapes. It is incapable of being detonated by anything other than the detonator itself. C4 (or C3 in the case of ''Metal Gear Solid 3'') has always been a widely used tool by Snake and is one of the weapons that is required to progress through the game.

C4 is Solid Snake's Down B special move in Brawl. When used, Snake plants a C4 plastic explosive on the ground, or if snake is close enough to an enemy he will plant it on the enemy instead. Press the button again to remotely detonate it.
