Motion for removal of "Merge" tag
Yeah, I don't think that this should be merged with Helpless. They are actually very different in myriad ways. Yes, wall of text coming.
- You can't tech when you are helpless.
- You can attack or recover once the tumble effect has subsided.
- The tumble effect subsides eventually, whereas Helpless does not end unless a character passes the lower blast line, gets hit, or touches the floor.
- You cannot put yourself into tumble.
All in all, I would say that if Tumble is similar enough to be merged with Helpless, then we should also merge Meteor Smash and Spike, as those two are even more similar than Tumble and Helpless, the only difference being that Meteor Smashes can be Meteor Cancelled. I move that the merge tag be removed.--Bek (talk) 20:30, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Technically, tumbling doesn't "subside" (you have to do something to end it, whether manually or letting youself hit the ground), and you can put yourself into a tumbling state by carring something heavy off a platform. But yeah, the merge makes no sense at all. Toomai Glittershine The Table Designer 21:02, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

What more is there to add? --HavocReaper'48 23:42, 6 November 2010 (EDT)
Remove “Reeling”
Reeling is nothing more than one of the many knockback (DamageFly*) animations. Unless for meteor smashes, it is not interruptible, unlike tumbling. It does not belong in this article. Kadano talk 15:11, 2 December 2014 (EST)
- It kind of has to go somewhere though, and it doesn't really deserve an article of its own. Toomai Glittershine The Researcher 15:16, 2 December 2014 (EST)
Reeling in SSB
