- At PAX Arena, ZeRo, VoiD, and Vinnie take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U singles, and Hungrybox, Mango, and Westballz take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Melee singles. Anti & Mew2King and SFAT & Shroomed win Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Melee doubles, respectively.

- As part of the Niconico Tokaigi 2016 livestream, demo gameplay of Corrin and Bayonetta, the final DLC characters for Super Smash Bros. 4, is shown; their release date is announced for February 3rd. Abadango, Nairo, and Komorikiri take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U singles.
