*Thanks, good work to you to. I just finished categorizing all items properly. I also made an items [[Template:Infobox Item|template]] a few days ago that I'll start applying. [[User:Bonko24|Bonko24]] 01:49, 5 January 2008 (UTC) |

With SSBB's release date only about a month away, I think it would be good idea to make a list of important things to do to get ready, so that people searching the web for SSBB info will find the info they need here.
General
- Categories - let's make sure all pages are, not just categorized, but categorized properly. For example, the pages for stages should not only be designated as a stage for the game that it appears in, but i'd also suggest putting them Category:Stages. Another thing I noticed was that a few stages were only listed in Category:N64 stages. I think the better way to categorize those stages would be the general Category:Stages plus the stages category for each game that they appear in.
- Infoboxes - let's also make sure that all stage pages use Template:Infobox Stage. Infoboxes are a great utility. They provide useful information and make the page look better.
- Red Links - Minimizing red links is always important, because having a wiki filled with links to pages that don't exist looks bad. While examining the wanted pages, first determine if the wanted page really does need to exist. In other words ask yourself "does that really need it's own page?" If so, create it. If not, remove the brackets that are causing the red links.
- Orphaned Pages - A wiki should never have orphaned pages (pages in which no other pages link to them). Every page on a wiki should have at least one other page that links to it. While looking at that list, the only page that I see that doesn't need a page linking to it is the (unused) Community events page, because it is linked to from the navigation sidebar.
SSBB specific
- Red Links - there are a lot of red links on Super_Smash_Bros._Brawl, Modes#Super_Smash_Bros._Brawl, and Items#Super_Smash_Bros._Brawl. Use the same guidelines I listed above to eliminate them.
- The Subspace Emissary - since it has been announced that SSBB will have a single player adventure mode, I think it would be a good idea to create a walkthrough for it. Even if the adventure mode is very simple, people who are thinking about buying the game would probably be interested in finding details of it. The walkthrough could be placed here, as well as having its own page, linked to from the main SSBB page and even the main page once the game is released.
Between now and SSBB's release, I'll be actively helping out with these things. I respect and welcome any input from the existing SSB wiki community, so feel free to add things or discuss anything I've listed. JoePlay (talk) 02:04, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for the suggestions! I thought about making a topic about this and this is perfect. I'll get started. Bonko24 03:43, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
