This is a list of music tracks from Super Smash Bros. Melee, as well as where they first appeared, and where they played in their first appearance.

  1. Opening Theme – A unique music track made for Super Smash Bros. Melee. Plays in the opening.
  2. Princess Peach's Castle – A remix of the Super Mario Bros. theme, as well as the Underground theme from the same game. Plays in the Princess Peach's Castle stage.
  3. Rainbow Cruise – A remix of the Rainbow Ride music from Super Mario 64, as well as the Underwater theme from Super Mario Bros. 3. Plays in the Rainbow Cruise stage.
  4. Kongo Jungle – An all style version of the Donkey Kong Rap from Donkey Kong 64. Plays on the Kongo Jungle stage.
  5. Jungle Japes – A remix of the DK Island Swing music from Donkey Kong Country. Plays on the Jungle Japes stage.
  6. Great Bay – A remix of the original The Legend of Zelda theme. Plays on the Great Bay stage.
  7. Hyrule Temple – A remix of the dungeon music in The Legend of Zelda II: Link's Adventure. Plays on the Hyrule Temple stage.
  8. Brinstar – A remix of the classical Brinstar music from the original Metroid. Then, the Game Start theme plays shortly after, and then the Metroid theme heard in many Metroid games follows. Plays on the Brinstar stage.
  9. Brinstar Depths – A remix of Kraid's theme from the original Metroid. Plays on the Brinstar Depths stage.
  10. Yoshi's Story – A remix of the main theme that played throughout Yoshi's Story. Plays on the Yoshi's Story stage.
  11. Yoshi's Island – A Banjo remix of the fast-paced version of the Super Mario World theme. Plays on the Yoshi's Island stage.
  12. Fountain of Dreams – A remix of the Fountain of Dreams music heard in Kirby's Adventure. Plays on the Fountain of Dreams stage.
  13. Green Greens – A remix of the Green Greens music from Kirby's Dream Land. Plays on the Green Greens stage.
  14. Corneria – A remix of the Space Armade theme, which ironically plays on Venom from the original Star Fox. Plays on the Corneria stage.
  15. Venom – A remix of the Star Fox theme, which debuted in Star Fox 64, and has been carried on into the other installments of the series. Plays on the Venom stage.
  16. Pokémon Stadium – A remix of the main theme in Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Green. Plays on the Pokémon Stadium stage.
  17. Poké Floats – A medly remix of the main battle themes from Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Green. The Trainer Battle Theme plays first, then the Gym Leader Battle Theme plays, then Wild Pokémon theme plays first after that. Plays on the Poké Floats stage.
  18. Mute City – A remix of the Mute City music from F-Zero X. Plays on the Mute City stage.
  19. Big Blue – A remix of the Big Blue music from F-Zero X. Plays on the Big Blue stage.
  20. Mother – A medly remix from Mother. The first half being a remix of the "Bein Friends" theme, and the latter half being the Sound Stone theme from the same game. Plays on the Onett stage.
  21. Earthbound – A medly remix from Earthbound. The first half is a remix of the Fourside music, and the latter half is a remix of the first part of the Sound Stone theme from EarthBound. Plays on the Fourside stage.
  22. Mushroom Kingdom – A port of the classical Super Mario Bros. theme. No part of this music track is altered. Plays on the Mushroom Kingdom stage.
  23. Mushroom Kingdom Finale – A port of the time up theme from Super Mario Bros.. No part of this music track is altered. Plays when time is almost up on the Mushroom Kingdom stage.
  24. Mushroom Kingdom II – A port of the main theme of Super Mario Bros. 2. No part of this music track is altered. Plays on the Muhsroom Kingdom II stage.
  25. Mushroom Kingdom II Finale – A port of the Birdo battle music from Super Mario Bros. 2. No part of this music track is altered. Plays when time is almost up on the Muhsroom Kingdom II stage.
  26. Icicle Mountain – A remix of two common music tracks from Ice Climber. The first part is a remix of the Bonus Stage music from Ice Climber, and the latter part being the usual music that plays on the Ice Climber stages. Plays on the Icicle Mountain stage.
  27. Flat Zone – A unique music track to Super Smash Bros. Melee, meant to imitate the style of sounds from the Game & Watch era. Plays on the Flat Zone stage.
  28. Kongo Jungle N64 – A port of the track from the original Super Smash Bros. It is a remix of the DK Island Swing music from Donkey Kong Country. . Plays on the Kongo Jungle N64 stage.
  29. Yoshi's Island N64 – A port of the track from the original Super Smash Bros. A remix of the main theme that played throughout Yoshi's Story. Plays on the Yoshi's Island N64 stage.
  30. Dream Land N64 – A port of the track from the original Super Smash Bros. A remix of the Fountain of Dreams music from Kirby's Adventure. Plays on the Dream Land N64 stage.
  31. Super Mario Bros. 3 – A remix of the main theme from Super Mario Bros. Acts as an alternate track to the Yoshi's Island stage, as well as Mario's victory music in 1P Mode.
  32. Saria's Theme – A remix of Saria's Song from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Acts as an alternate track to the Great Bay stage, as well as Young Link's victory music in 1P Mode.
  33. Battle Theme – A medly remix from Pokémon Gold & Silver. First, the Wild Pokémon battle music plays, then the Gym Leader music plays after that, followed by the Champion music. Acts as an alternate track to the Pokémon Stadium stage, as well as Pichu's victory music in 1P Mode.
  34. Fire Emblem – A remix of the character recruitment theme from Fire Emblem 6 and 7. Then, it moves on to the Fire Emblem theme. Acts as an alternate track to the Hyrule Temple stage, as well as Marth and Roy's victory music in 1P Mode.
  35. Mach Rider – A remix of the main theme from Mach Rider. Acts as an alternate track to the Big Blue stage.
  36. Mother 2 – A remix of the Pollyana theme from the original Mother game. Acts as an alternate track to the Onett stage.
  37. Dr. Mario – A remix of the "Fever" theme from Dr. Mario. Acts as an alternate track to the Mushroom Kingdom and Mushroom Kingdom II stage, as well as Dr. Mario's victory music in 1P Mode.
  38. Balloon Fight – A port of the Balloon Fight theme. Acts as an alternate track to the Icicle Mountain stage.
  39. Mario's Victory – A remix of the level victory music from Super Mario Bros.. Plays when Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Dr. Mario or Princess Peach win a battle.
  40. DK's Victory – A remix of the boss beaten music from Donkey Kong Country. Plays when Donkey Kong wins a battle.
  41. Zelda Team Victory – A short remix of the main theme of The Legend of Zelda. Plays when Link, Young Link, Princess Zelda, Sheik, or Ganondorf win a battle.
  42. Samus' Victory – A remix of the New-Power-Up theme from the Metroid series. Plays when Samus Aran wins a battle.
  43. Yoshi's Victory – A short remix of the main theme of Yoshi's Story. Plays when Yoshi wins a battle.
  44. Kirby's Victory – A remix of the Level Finished music from various Kirby games. Plays when Kirby wins a battle.
  45. Fox's Victory – A remix of the "Mission Complete" music in various Star Fox games. Plays when Fox McCloud or Falco Lombardi win a battle.
  46. Pokémon Victory – A short remix of the main theme from Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Green. Plays when Pikachu, Pichu, Jigglypuff or Mewtwo win a battle.
  47. Captain Falcon's Victory – A rock-remix of the "1st Place" theme from various F-Zero games. Plays when Captain Falcon wins a battle.
  48. Ness' Victory – A remix of the last half of the Sound Stone theme from EarthBound. Plays when Ness wins a battle.
  49. Fire Emblem Team Victory – A unique track to Super Smash Bros. Melee, meant to copy the style of music used in Fire Emblem. Plays when Marth or Roy win a battle.
  50. Mr. Game & Watch's Victory – A unique track to Super Smash Bros. Melee, meant to imitate the style of sounds used in the Game & Watch era. Plays when Mr. Game & Watch wins a battle.
  51. Ice Climber's Victory – A remix of the "End of Level" music from Ice Climber. Plays when the Ice Climbers wins a battle.
