The Golden Glitch is a glitch in Super Smash Bros. Brawl that allows a character to remain glowing (what they look like upon obtaining a Smash Ball) throughout the match, and still be able to use their standard special move . While using this glitch, one should note that as soon as the player's characer is KO'd, they will stop glowing. In addition the stage will move in slow motion while the character is glowing, and no more Smash Balls will appear. Also, the camera may zoom in on the glowing character.
How to perform
Obtain a Smash Ball and activate it in a location where terrain that disappears (not destructible) is respawning.
Stages:
- Bridge of Eldin - The reforming bridge
- Green Hill Zone - The lower section of the stage
- Spear Pillar - The reforming middle section
- Pirate Ship - The King of Red Lions
Characters:
These are the characters that can be used to perform this glitch.
Trivia
- This glitch can be performed with different characters in the same way but can have different effects, where the Final Smash's effect becomes permanent until the character is KO'd. See Diffusion Beam Glitch (R.O.B.) and Puff Up glitch (Jigglypuff).
