Announced at E3 2006, Battleship Halberd is a new Kirby stage introduced in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The stage begins in a hangar, which then opens up, letting Meta Knight's airship, named the Halberd, take off. A platform rises from the center, taking the characters with it. It then proceeds to float around in the sky, with the Halberd flying in the background. Later on in the match, the platform lands on the Halberd itself, in front of the Combo Cannon, a boss from Kirby Super Star that can interfere with the match by shooting a blast of energy, or by extending its arm to swipe at the players, similarly to how it attacked in the aforementioned original game.

The Battleship Halberd is a new stage appearing in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, based on Meta Knight's ship from the Kirby series. The fighting begins in a hangar on the ground with the Halberd in the background, but the Halberd soon takes flight and two platforms comes out of the ground to follow it. The combatants will fight for a time in the sky with the main platform and a small passable platform centered above it. Eventually the platforms lands on the flying battleship Halberd. While on the Halberd, it launches beams and missiles at the combatants, and can even attack with its arm.

Role in the Subspace Emissary

In the Subspace Emissary mode, the ship is apparently as the mother ship for all of the Primids, or just a temporary drop-ship. Nothing else has been confirmed about its purpose in the cinematic sense so far, though it is known that it will have a large role. In the large leak prior to the game, multiple Mr. Game and Watches were seen commandeering the ship.
