The Battlefield is a stage confirmed for SSBB. It appears relatively unchanged from its older version, though it appears to have a day-and-night cycle.
There are however, rumours that it could be a Kid Icarus stage. Due to the greek pillars and the vines, it leads to believe that the stage is the Kid Icarus level ' Palace in the Sky'. These rumours are believed to be false.
