Forums[edit]
Please don't post in "dead" forums. They are very old and no longer in use.-Ivy73 18:44, 21 December 2010 (EST)
To elaborate, it is an unwritten rule here that you don't post in and bump old inactive forums, unless it is an important forum affecting the Wiki's content and such, and you have something new to add (such as, in the forum about game articles, you come up with a legit argument in favor of bringing gamed articles back). To see how old a forum is, look at the timestamp of the last post. If it's months old on a forum not affecting the Wiki, it is best that you don't post in it. Talk pages[edit]
Hi, I noticed you been mostly using them to muse about something of the subject the article is about. I'll remind you this isn't proper talk page use. Talk pages are to be used to discuss the content of the article, such as if a certain piece of information in the article is correct or if something should belong in the article. Talk pages are not to be used to discuss your opinion of the subject or mention random thoughts that have no bearing on the article's content. That kind of stuff goes on userpages, or in appropriate forums. In the future, please use talk pages correctly. Omega Tyrant 05:40, 7 January 2011 (EST)

Editing tips[edit]
Hi, on your edit to the back aerial page, I noticed you made some common errors I'll like to inform you about so you'll avoid making them in future edits.
1. This is an English Wiki, so we use the English names of characters and not their Japanese names. So we refer to Bowser as Bowser and Jigglypuff as Jigglypuff, not as Koopa and Purin.
2. Avoid using abbreviations for character names when editing the Wiki. It's not encyclopedic to refer to Captain Falcon as C. Falcon, or Mr. Game & Watch as G&W. It is acceptable however to skip using formalities of the characters' names, such as Captain Falcon can be called just Falcon or King Dedede can be called just Dedede if their full name have been used in the paragraph already.
3. Avoid calling two attacks as "the same", as this is false. Attacks can have similar animations, but no two attacks have the same hitboxes, and therefore it is misleading to call them "the same". Calling two attacks similar is acceptable, but do not call them the same when it is not true.
4. Avoid using unnecessary hyphens. Fair is not f-air, nair is not n-air, and so on.
Follow this advice in the future so it won't be necessary for other editors to fix your edits. Omega Tyrant 13:41, 11 January 2011 (EST)
- I'm so confused...well, thanks again. It's just that I sometimes play the Japanese SSB64 and NTSC Melee in the Japanese version. Their names are cooler, but thanks anyways. Oh...dear. I probably did all that when I completed the up aerial section for Melee a few minutes ago. Oh, well, there will be other days. Lili Rochefort 1965 (talk) 14:27, 11 January 2011 (EST)
One more thing. As a wiki, articles have to be generally non-opinionated and encyclopediac. Putting in phrases like "that's not good" or writing in second-person (as in, "do this" or "you should avoid") are bad style. Toomai Glittershine The Awesome 18:22, 11 January 2011 (EST)
- I've been meaning to erase what the last editor wrote in that part of the article anyways. Thanks once again for your guidance. Lili Rochefort 1965 (talk) 23:05, 11 January 2011 (EST)
This is not the last of me[edit]
Now...I may not be playing Smash for quite some time because of an unfavorable schedule, but I've played it long enough to gain unfathomable information. I'll still do my best to contribute to this wiki when I have spare time. Lili Rochefort 1965 (talk) 23:44, 13 January 2011 (EST)
