When linking to a page on another wiki, it would be best to use <nowiki>{{s|other wiki|page name}}</nowiki> instead of <nowiki>[[other wiki:page name|text to show]]</nowiki>. There are some cases where the latter would be used, but if the text shown doesn't need to be changed, then you would use the template.
