Ness was first introduced in the Mother/Earthbound series. Ness is from Onett. He has been in all three Super Smash Bros. games. Ness has been confirmed in Super Smash Bros. Brawl since a recent Japanese Brawl commercial Nintendo revealed that both Lucas and Ness can wield a Claus sticker, and the offical site has listed him as a Secret Fighter.

Final Smash

PK Starstorm, when done by Ness.
Ness' Final Smash is PK Starstorm. It differs on a few things when compared to Lucas' PK Starstorm, mainly the color and direction of the blasts. As you can see in the photo Ness's starstorm moves in a diagenal wave.
Availability
Ness is a default character in Super Smash Bros. Melee. In Super Smash Bros., he must be unlocked. In Brawl he also has to be unlocked.
Unlocking
To unlock Ness in the original Super Smash Bros, one must complete the following:
- Beat one player mode with three lives on Normal difficulty without using a continue.
To unlock Ness in Super Smash Bros Brawl, one must complete the following:
- Play 5 matches in Brawl
- Reflect 10 projectiles
- Get Ness to join your party in The Subspace Emissary
After completing the former two of the above method, one must face Ness in a one-on-one brawl. Defeating him will make him a playable character.
