In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
As a Poké Ball Pokémon
Piplup makes an appearance in Brawl. It uses its Surf attack to glide across the stage until it reaches a blast line or exceeds a time limit. Any character that gets caught in Piplup's surf will get washed away with it and will likely get KO'd while trapped. The simpler the stage's terrain is, the more effective Piplup's Surf will be. Piplup can also be reflected. Its attack is essentially used the same way as Marill's attack from Melee.
Trophy
- Piplup
- A Penguin Pokémon. It's one of the starter Pokémon received from Professor Rowan when the player departs from the Sinnoh region. It's a Water type, so it's strong versus Rock and Ground types. It's very cute but filled with pride–it hates to accept food from people. When it levels up, it evolves into Prinplup.
