The Gust Bellows function similarly to Skyward Sword when picked up, allowing characters to blow their enemies away with extreme force similar to Kyogre's Hydro Pump attack. When dropped, the bellows will run wild and become a wandering hazard on the stage blowing all other characters as it spins (it does not affect its last holder) and occasionally releasing an extra-powerful burst of wind; it tends to move towards the right of the field, but will disappear if it remains long enough).
The Gust Bellows function similarly to Skyward Sword when picked up, allowing characters to push their enemies away, similar to Kyogre's Hydro Pump attack. The item has a limited supply of air, and attempting to use it when it runs out will cause the user to throw it.

If the Gust Bellows is dropped while it still contains air, it will constantly spin and begin moving to either the left or right of the stage; while doing so, it will occasionally release a burst of wind, frustrating other players' approaches. These bursts of wind do not affect the character who threw the item.
