Skuttlers (ボックン, Bokkun) are common ground enemies in Kid Icarus: Uprising that make up the primary ground forces of the Underworld Army.
In Super Smash Bros. 4
Skuttlers appear in Smash Run, acting as one of the mode's enemies that can be defeated to release power-ups. There are three types of Skuttlers that are seen in Smash Run: the standard Skuttler, the Skuttler Mage, and the Skuttler Cannoneer.
Origin
Skuttlers are a series of ground enemies introduced in Uprising. Each variant shares common characteristics in appearance: purple tentacles, a white skull body with crossbones, and a singular eye. Skuttlers are separated into four various classes: the basic Skuttler, which wields a bone club and a shield; the cannoneer, which wields a cannon that can be used to fire lasers or homing missiles; the mage, which carries a wand that they can use to cast a jet of flame close-up or a weakening curse; or the Suit of Skuttler, which wears a heavy suit of armor that renders any attacks not directed at its exposed backside harmless. The standard Skuttlers appear in Smash Run.
