Quickdraw, or QDing, is a technique that Link or Toon Link can use with their neutral special move, Bow, to shoot an arrow just as they land on the ground. This will cause the arrow to be shot very quickly with no landing lag. There are several applications with this that greatly increase Link/Toon Link play. ==How to do a quickdraw==
Performing a Quickdraw
To do a quickdraw, just simply jump, then right before the character hits the ground, tap the special button. The player can short hop instead of jump.
To perform a Quickdraw, the player must use the Bow right before landing. If, during startup, the character hits the ground, all lag will be negated and the arrow will fire immediately.
Applications with Toon Link
Note: All applications should be short hopped for speed.

Toon Link is benefited more from QDing than Link and has more use for it in competitive play.
Applications
Note: Toon Link benefits far more from Quickdrawing than Link, due to lower falling speed and lower lag in most of his attacks.
Bomb drawing
This refers to Toon Link or Link jumping and drawing a Bomb, and quickdrawing as soon as possible. This helps protect the character as he draws out the Bomb.

Bomb and Boomerang
Bomb/Boomerang throw
A very quick and useful technique is SH Bomb or Boomerang to QD. To do either of them, just short hop and quickly press either side special or side attack (if a Bomb is pulled out already). If done quickly enough, the player should be able to tap the special button just as they land for a quickdraw. This is very useful for comboing as well as keeping Toon Link's distance from his opponents.
Per the name, this refers to throwing a Bomb/Boomerang in any direction and Quickdrawing on landing. The bomb throw requires a short hop with both characters, while the Boomerang requires a jump. This can help camping and punish spot dodges.

Nairdrawing
Aerial drawing
This refers to SHFF Nairing with Toon Link and then QDing. This is very good because of how the moves string together, and if done right, stalls the opponent for future comboing. QDing can also be done with fairs.
This refers to Short hop fast falling and following with a Quickdraw. This can bolster a missed aerial or follow one up.

Short Hop Double Arrows
Short Hop Double Arrows
Another technique is SHDA, which causes Toon Link to shoot two arrows at pretty much the same time. To SHDA, the player must SH, quickly press the special button to shoot an arrow, tap it again as soon as the player can, and the resulting Quickdraw causes two arrows flying essentially simultaneously.
The most used Quickdraw technique is the Short Hopped Double Arrows (SHDA). This involves using a short hopped arrow followed with a Quickdraw. Only Toon Link can do this, but Link can do the technique with a full jump. SHDAs promote Toon Link/Link's camping game, and can also be done while moving as an approach.

Reverse Quickdraw
Any of the above techniques can be followed by a Reverse Quickdraw. If the player presses the button opposite of the direction he/she is facing, the Bow will fire behind him/her. This can be used to cover both sides of the character, or to follow up a back aerial.

Quickdraw, or QDing, is a Link and Toon Link technique that they can use with their neutral special move, Bow, to skip the starting lag of the attack. There are several applications with this that greatly increase Link/Toon Link play. The player can also use this technique with Kirby if he copies Link or Toon Link with Inhale.

Performing a Quickdraw

To perform a Quickdraw, the player must use the Bow right before landing. If, during startup, the character hits the ground, all lag will be negated and the arrow will fire immediately.

Bomb/Boomerang throw

Per the name, this refers to throwing a Bomb/Boomerang in any direction and Quickdrawing on landing. The bomb throw requires a short hop with both characters, while the Boomerang requires a jump. This can help camping and punish spot dodges.

Aerial drawing

This refers to Short hop fast falling and following with a Quickdraw. This can bolster a missed aerial or follow one up.

Short Hop Double Arrows
