I'm not entirely sure if this is necessary, but shouldn't Mega Man's final smash say who they are and what series they came from? (X is from Mega Man X, Volnutt is from Legends, Hub from Battle Network, and Geo from Star Force) ([[User:ThirdPlayer|ThirdPlayer]] ([[User talk:ThirdPlayer|talk]]) 09:37, 9 April 2014 (EDT)) |

I think the Uppercut Attack may be a Shoryuken. I think there was a Mega Man which you could unlock it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Robertman2 (talk • contribs) 14:41, 11 June 2013 (EDT)
- I think it's the Mega Upper, as show in this video a bit after the four-minute mark. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Platitudinous (talk • contribs) 15:41, 11 June 2013 (EDT)
I think Mega Man would be the first unlockable character to appear. At the beginning of his trailer, where it says "new challenger approaching" would make it seem like a secret character, similar to when a "a new challenger approaching" in brawl and melee. - Anomynous

It appears that the flame sword is the Forward Aerial and the Slash Claw is the back aerial. In the discussion video Megaman is facing the opposite direction of the attack. As for the Hard Knuckle, it appears to obviously be a Down Aerial. The Leaf Shield appears to be a special attack as it is seen to be activated in the air and on the ground in various videos.71.104.249.253 02:09, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- Slash Claw and Hard Knuckle could be special attacks as well, or even some new kind of move. The point is we don't know yet. Miles (talk) 02:13, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- Sakurai called them aerial attacks (in the developer showcase, I believe). They are most likely forward, back and down aerials, but the neutral air ruins the guess work. Toast ltimatum 08:16, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- On the contrary, the neutral air, forward tilt and standard attack are all the Mega Buster. Remember, he can shoot while he is walking and while he jumps. If we see an attack other than that performed on the ground and in the air, it simply must be a special attack.96.229.18.35 15:45, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- What if the Mega Buster is a special move? Let's not add that in until we have evidence that it is not a special move. Awesome Cardinal 2000 15:59, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- In the developer video Sakurai states that it is a standard attack. Also in the video showing Mario fight Megaman at E3, Megaman uses the metal blade in the air, but in the developer video Megaman uses it on the ground. The leaf shield is also seen to be used in the air and on the ground in the developer video. In the Megaman vs Mario fight previously mentioned the crash bomber is also used both on the ground and in the air.96.229.18.35 16:14, 13 June 2013 (EDT)

- So it's settled then. The Rush Coil, Crash Bomber, Leaf Shield and Metal Blade are all Special Moves.96.229.18.35 16:25, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- While he states that it is a standard attack, do we know which direction they are? What if it's a neutral attack that has some sort of new mechanic that lets you walk while shooting? For example, you can walk around while shooting a Super Scope in Brawl, how do we know you cannot do the same with the Mega Buster? We still do not have enough information to classify it as a specific directional attack. Awesome Cardinal 2000 16:34, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- So it's settled then. The Rush Coil, Crash Bomber, Leaf Shield and Metal Blade are all Special Moves.96.229.18.35 16:25, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- That would require him activating it while standing still and spamming continuously, but he seen to activate it while in the air and while walking. Besides I think w are in agreement that his mega buster is used in the air and while he is walking so it must be Nair since he is not seen to move left or right while shooting in the air, and he is not dashing while he is shooting on the ground so it must be his standard and side tilt attacks.96.229.18.35 16:45, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
Then it's settled. The aerial attacks are: Mega Buster- Nair, Air Shooter?- Uair, Slash Claw- Bair, and Flame Sword- Fair. 96.229.18.35 17:38, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- People are just saying to wait, we can't confirm as of now (a move should be obvious in what input it is if we're going to put it down), and we're in no rush; we don't need to put information that we have no way of confirming. Also indent your posts when you're directly replying to someone. Omega Tyrant 17:47, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- Well, aren't the specials confirmed. (I can't indent on an iPad...). The Metal-Blade, the Crash Bomber, the Rush Coil, and the Leaf Shield have been seen used in the air and on the ground. The Mega Buster is confirmed to be a standard attack so these others must be special attacks. 96.229.18.35 18:08, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- That could be, though we still don't know their exact inputs. So as of now, we'll point out that those attacks exist, and wait until we can confirm definitively what inputs they're assigned to. Omega Tyrant 18:24, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- You indent by typing : at the beginning of your post. Awesome Cardinal 2000 18:27, 13 June 2013 (EDT)
- The aerial attacks seem obvious now that they are established. The slash claw is Bair from the developer video due to the fact that the attack goes behind Megaman. The fire sword then takes the slot of Fair left by it since Megaman is always moving forward when he is is using it.That leaves the Mega Buster with Nair since he is not seen to move whle he is shooting in the air. As for the Hard Knuckle and Air Shooter(?), I think we can use common sense since the Hard knuckle hits downwards (Dair) and the Air Shooter(?) hits upwards (Uair) from the Mario vs Megaman video. Thanks for the info by the way Awesome Cardinal 2000. 96.229.18.35 18:37, 13 June 2013 (EDT)

So what do we not know? 108.23.219.221 16:12, 23 June 2013 (EDT)
- Well, We may not know what directions specific moves are for certain ( even though some are intensely obvious) we do know what the aerials, special, tilts and smash attacks are. However we currently do not know are the grabs (aka Super Arm) since only one is actually shown. We also do not know what the Final Smash is. Aside from that and the taunts we have everything.71.165.100.114 01:54, 8 July 2013 (EDT)

Special Moves
Aren't the special moves confirmed to be the Metal Blade, the Crash Bomber, the Rush Coil, and the Leaf Shield? They are the only weapons other than the mega buster seen to be used in the air and on the ground in the videos. 96.229.18.37 01:34, 15 July 2013 (EDT)

The Mega/Rock Upper actually originates from the Arcade title "MegaMan 2: The Power Fighters", where each playable character posesses an alternate charage attack by titling the joystick UP before releasing the charge shot. Mega/RockMan's is the Mega/Rock Upper, a flaming uppercut not unlike the Shoryuken of Street Fighter fame. The move also appears as a part of MegaMan's movelist in Marvel vs. Capcom, this time with a blue hue instead of the previous fiery golden one.

Videos
For crying out loud, why is the same video referenced three times on the page? Instead could we also use the developer direct as a reference? 71.118.204.82 00:00, 4 September 2013 (EDT)
- The video was the developer direct. The citations have been condensed. Miles (talk) 01:12, 4 September 2013 (EDT)
