Gonzalo Barrios, aka ZeRo is a smasher from Chile, South America who is currently sponsored by CLASH Tournaments. He has had "ZeRo" as his gamertag since 2005. He has been playing Smash since Smash 64 in 1999. He started to travel and play in tournaments in Chile in early 2007 during Melee. The best placing in Melee for him was at the Chilean national tournament of 2009. He is currently the top ranked online and offline Brawl player in Chile maining Meta Knight. He originally became famous in the United States by being one of the top players on All is Brawl. His first international tournament was at Apex 2012 where he got 17th in singles and 9th in teams (teaming with Kadaj).

Shortly before Apex 2013, he arrived to the United States for XSmash and shocked the world by winning the tournament, defeating top professionals such as Vinnie, Nairo, and Mew2King during his march to victory. At Apex 2013, he got 9th in singles and 13th in doubles, teaming with quiKsilver. He also participated in the United States vs. the World crew battle, taking the final two stocks off of his fellow crew member Mew2King before losing to ESAM. His last East Coast tournament was Rescue 2, where he defeated Nairo in 2 consecutive sets during Grand Finals. A week later in the Midwest, he attended Outrage, his last tournament in the United States before returning to Chile, defeating players such as Ally and Zinoto to win the tournament. Before leaving, he was honorably put on the Tristate Brawl Power Rankings in 2nd behind Mew2King.

ZeRo traveled to the United States in preparation for SKTAR 2, continuing to practice with the eventual goal of winning the international event. He convincingly won his first tournament, Crossfire: Shockwave, during his stay, defeating top professionals such as Vinnie and Anti. He also won doubles with Anti at the same event.

ZeRo continued his streak by winning Rescue 3, a tournament that provided a glimpse of the fierce competition that was expected to be seen at SKTAR 2, defeating Mr. R, Vinnie, and Nairo to take the event.

At SKTAR 2, ZeRo got 4th in Doubles teaming with Ally, losing to Nakat and False in Winners' Semis and Nairo and ADHD in Losers' Semis. In Singles, ZeRo got 1st seed in his bracket pool, defeating Atomsk in Winners' Finals, advancing to the Singles bracket. In Winners' Quarters, ZeRo lost to ADHD in a close set, getting timed out by losing the percent lead at the very last second Game 3. ZeRo took out SKTAR champion Nairo and ESAM in Losers' before losing to Nakat in Losers' Quarters, getting 5th out of 141 entrants.

At Apex 2014, ZeRo defeated Ally, Mew2King, ESAM and ADHD, managing to make it to Grand Finals from Losers Bracket after losing to ESAM in Winner Semis. His run through losers bracket has been one of the most amazing ones in history, and at the moment he is the only player in Brawl history to have defeated Ally, Mew2King and ADHD in a single bracket. In Grand Finals, he lost against Nairo and placed 2nd overall in Singles after some very close and exciting matches. He also teamed with Chibo in Doubles and placed 5th after defeating several teams and almost defeating Nairo & ADHD. They defeated Nakat & False for top 5.

ZeRo has become one of the biggest and most watched Smash streamers in the community. His streams have been highly successful due to his informative broadcasts, showcasing not only high level gameplay but also quality production and commentary.
