The Final Destination jump is a technique in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Similar to the Hyrule Jump, it is done by going under Final Destination from one side and returning on the other. Due to Final Destination's shape, it cannot be done with all characters.

Uses

The Final Destination jump can be used as a method to surprise one's opponent. It is often used as a test of a character's horizontal recovery. For example, Meta Knight's ability to perform the jump several ways is an indicator of his above-par recovery.

Characters that can perform the jump

Characters in Brawl that have been proven to be able to do this are:

  • Snake - Snake can use C4 to help him reuse his Cypher multiple times until he KOs himself at the right persentage for him.
  • Sonic - Can use Homing Attack on the base of the stage and spin dash for him to gains distance and then uses a Spring Jump when hes right below or close to the other edge.
  • Wario (and as Wario-Man) - Wario can use his great air speed and Wario Bike to get through under the stage, then using Corkscrew to recover on the other end of the stage.
  • Pit - Can use his wings which provides him with five midair jumps and with the ability to glide. Wings of Icarus is also useful for the jump.
  • Luigi - Luigi uses a fairly charged Green Missile off of one edge of the stage. He will then use a midair jump, followed by a Luigi Cyclone to repel him upwards and a Super Jump Punch to reach the other edge.
  • Peach - Peach can use her float so she can go from one side of the stage to another safely, and then using a Peach Parasol to reach the other edge.
  • Diddy Kong - Diddy Kong can use a Monkey Flip which makes him go some distance from below the stage, midair jumps and then uses Rocketbarrel Boost to get to the other edge. He must be careful of the stage lips however.
  • Yoshi
  • Charizard - Charizard can flap his wings and glide though under the stage with using Fly to reach the other edge.
  • Lucario- By jumping and curving a quick speed to cling to the wall and wall jump.
  • Lucas- By air dodging and jumping correctly he can PK Thunder 2 to the ledge.
  • Ness
  • Kirby - Kirby can use his five midair jumps to go across under the stage and using Final Cutter to reach the edge.
  • Meta Knight - Thanks to Meta Knight's five midair jumps, ability to glide not just once but twice, and having all four special moves that are very good at recovering, Meta Knight is perhaps the easiest character to do the Final Destination Jump.
  • Link - Link can use his Bomb for Bomb recovery.
  • Toon Link - Same as Link.
  • Ice Climbers
  • R.O.B.- A jump and Robo Burner is enough for R.O.B. to perform this.
  • Zero Suit Samus
  • Samus - Samus can use Bomb (Samus) to plant herself below with bombs and when the bomb exploads below her, she can jump up, and can repeat this process until she gets to the other end and use Screw Attack to reach the edge.
  • Pikachu - Pikachu can use Skull Bash to get it across under the stage. It then follows up with Quick Attack to reach the edge.
  • Jigglypuff - Jigglypuff can use its great air speed with it five midair jumps and Pound which repels Jigglypuff forward, to reach the other end of the stage. One of the easiest characters to do the jump.
