# LINK, MAH BOI. Luigi (or "WeeGee") is quite likable with his personality, Super Jump/Payday Fire Punch, and 1% damaging Taunt and all, but fighting with the bow-bomb-boomerang-wielding swordsman decked in the green Hero's Clothes has gotten me through '''''way''''' more fights and events in the ''Super Smash Bros.'' series so far. Not to mention that he also possesses the Triforce of COURAGE, relentlessly vanquishing Ganondorf (as well as Zant and Vaati, among others) time and time again. Plus, he has ties to the ''very'' beautiful and hot ladies of Hyrule (Zelda/Sheik, Midna, Ilia, Telma, Ashei, Iza, Hena, etc.), so that's a bonus. AND he can turn into a BA wolf. And 'I liek swords' a lot, to boot. He also flawlessly sheathes his Master Sword and down-stabs enemies with ease, defending himself with the superb [[Hylian shield]], if necessary. Finally, we can't forget Link's awesome finishers, the Hurricane Blade (Spin Attack) and the epic Triforce Slash, both of which seal the deal in Link's favor. I'm liking the theme for this match, as well as the various parallels being brought to light in the comments, like in that 'doorknob' comment above (i.e., the courageous Link vs. the frightened Luigi).[[Special:Contributions/131.193.3.93|131.193.3.93]] 16:46, 23 September 2011 (EDT) | I'm liking the theme for this match, as well as the various parallels being brought to light in the comments, like in that 'doorknob' comment above (i.e., the courageous Link vs. the frightened Luigi). Revision as of 15:50, September 23, 2011
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters, items, stages or anything else from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.
The Rules
- When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted the way you did, or you can just leave your signature.
- You can only vote once. Any multiple votes will be removed.
- Put a
#
before your vote to facilitate the vote counting. - Type
~~~~
after your vote to sign it, whether you are logged in or not. Using the wrong number of "~"s counts as not signing - your signature must have both your signature itself and the time. - There is a line in each section consisting of "DO NOT ADD COMMENTS OR EDIT ANYTHING BELOW THIS LINE". You are to do so; do not just type your vote at the bottom of the editing window. Not following this rule results in your vote being displayed in the wrong place.
- Put your vote below other votes; that is, so the votes are in chronological order.
- Any comments about the fight should be left in the comment section. However, you are not to post argumentative, accusative, or any sort of comment with the intention of starting an argument with someone on the opposing side. The Smash Arena is a popularity contest, there's no need to argue with the other side on why your choice is superior, or why they are wrong with their reasoning for picking their choice. You are also not to post comments that are just pointing out/complaining how close/one sided a matchup is. These sorts of comments are worthless, and do nothing but make an already large page larger.
- You may only vote in the current fight; all previous fights are closed.
- Do not leave a space between your comment and the ones above it (and/or below it).
- If there are multiple fights in a single round, try to make all your votes in a single edit.
If your vote is not added correctly - that is, it breaks rules 3, 4, or 5 - you have one hour to fix it. After this time, it may be moved by any user to the Half-Votes section (adding the unsigned template if necessary), and it will count as half a vote. Attempting to move your vote out of the Half-Votes section may result in it being worth zero at an operator's discretion. In addition, if your votes-to-rulebreaks ratio climbs too high, your votes may count for zero until the ratio drops to an acceptable level.
Intentional half-votes undermine the intent of the half-vote system as a way to punish voters for voting incorrectly. It is legal to want a vote to be worth half, but it is very heavily discouraged, and you must state in your vote you want it to be worth half.
Round 103: Pokémon Stadium vs. Pokémon Stadium 2
Winner!! Pokémon Stadium 17 to 15.5 |
|||||
Two stages that are similar in every way - except for the fact that one's based on fire, water, plants, and stone, whereas the other represents air, electricity, ice, and earth. Which locale is less of a loser? | |||||
CommentsNote to User:110.174.90.69: that's apparently a point of contention about whether they are Pokemon or really pixelated people. Mr. Anon (talk) 00:51, 10 September 2011 (EDT) No I meant the actual 3D Pokemon that appear when the stadium changes, like in the Ice-type area there's Snorunt and Snover. 110.174.90.69 01:00, 10 September 2011 (EDT) Swadloon we voted the same again Cherrim98 (talk) 12:58, 10 September 2011 (EDT)
This is simply to close for me. I might have chosen Stadium 2 since it was the first stage I played Brawl on, but I like the first one, too. No vote for me. 25T16 File:HitboxEffect(Flame).png It’s a me! 09:39, 11 September 2011 (EDT) HOLY SHIT THIS IS CLOSE! Mr. Anon (talk) 15:28, 12 September 2011 (EDT) |
