Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.
The Rules
- When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted the way you did, or you can just leave your signature.
- You can only vote once. Any multiple votes will be removed.
- Put a
#
before your vote to facilitate the vote counting. - Type
~~~~
after your vote to sign it, whether you are logged in or not. - There is a line in each section consisting of "DO NOT ADD COMMENTS OR EDIT ANYTHING BELOW THIS LINE". You are to do so; do not just type your vote at the bottom of the editing window. Not following this rule results in your vote being displayed in the wrong place.
- Put your vote below other votes; that is, so the votes are in chronological order.
- Any comments about the fight should be left in the comment section. It is recommended that you do not post argumentative, accusative, or any sort of comment with the intention of starting an argument with someone on the opposing side. The Smash Arena is a popularity contest, there's no need to argue with the other side on why your choice is superior, or why they are wrong with their reasoning for picking their choice.
- You may only vote in the current fight; all previous fights are closed.
- Do not leave a space between your comment and the ones above it (and/or below it).
- Do not put your vote in the Half-Votes section. It is not where anonymous users vote, nor is it acceptable to want your vote to be worth half. It is basically saying "I want to be punished", and you will be treated accordingly.
If your vote is not added correctly - that is, it breaks rules 3, 4, or 5 - you have one hour to fix it. After this time, it may be moved by any user to the Half-Votes section (adding the unsigned template if necessary), and it will count as half a vote. Attempting to move your vote out of the Half-Votes section may result in it being worth zero at an operator's discretion. In addition, if your votes-to-rulebreaks ratio climbs too high, your votes may count for zero until the ratio drops to an acceptable level.
Round 74: Olimar vs. Pikmin
Winner!! undecided 0 to 0 |
Time for an unorthodox fight! This particular throwdown pits the general against his men, as it were. Is it the face of the army that gets the goods, or will it be the workers that get the props?
Round 73: Pikachu vs. Pichu
Winner!! Pikachu 24 to 11.5 |
|||||
This week's bout is between the two lower members of the "chu" line. While one needs no introduction in the world of Pokémon, the other is only a Smasher through sheer luck and was given artificial handicaps to keep its power down. Still, it had quite the fan following - is it enough to matter in this battle?
Only the second day into the fight and the scores are 16 to 4. Does Pichu even stand a chance? 217.42.40.98 12:05, 12 February 2011 (EST) Ivy73, sorry to burst your bubble, but the thing about Brawl Pikachu being the evolved Melee Pichu is just speculation. Day by day, Smash Arena's Ratio is getting WORSE Lucasthe fourth 00:13, 13 February 2011 (EST)
We need a better matchup than something like this...first Mario and G&W, second the Shaydas and Armights, and now Pikachu VS Pichu...All three have crazy ratios. I hope the next match is a tie.24.30.130.49 10:50, 14 February 2011 (EST)
..... (talk) 18:42, 14 February 2011 (EST) I'm checking this Smash Arena just for seeing Pikachu got score double than Pichu... *yawn* We don't even need a week for waiting the winner... And same with Lt4, I also had a suggestion too! And, we need stage battle again, I think... Kirbythe Amazing 03:00, 16 February 2011 (EST)
Come on, Pichu Fans!!! We can still win this!!!! Well... not really, but can Pichu still win for having less half-votes? Fuddlebob (talk) 02:16, 18 February 2011 (EST) |
