Bulborbs are creatures hailing from the Pikmin series. They are the most common enemies. Their name comes from Olimar's pet, Bulbie, who looks like a small bulborb.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Bulborbs appear on the Distant Planet stage. They can be seen in the background sleeping, roaming about or on the right of the stage where it acts as a platform.
However, if the Bulborb closes its mouth while someone is standing inside, they will be trapped and will be pulled off the stage, losing a life.
They also appear during Pikmin and Olimar's Final Smash, the End of Day.
One also appears as a trophy.
Trophy Description
- A creature whose Japanese name translates as "spotted crimson bug-eye." These bulky nocturnal animals have white-and-red-flecked rumps that resemble strawberries. Red bulborbs sleep in the day and wake in the evening to feed on small animals. Several colors of bulborb subspecies have been discovered--their classification is a hot subject for scholars.

Trivia
- Although Bulborbs normally eat Pikmin, throwing a Pikmin into a Bulborb's mouth doesn't make it eat the Pikmin.
