Enguarde is a recurring "Animal Buddy" in the DK series. He is a blue swordfish, and often comes to assist the Kongs in their underwater levels. He was the Kong's only means of attacking foes underwater. Enguarde is also one of the few animal buddies to appear in all three games of the DKC trilogy. In the Smash Bros. series, he appears as a collectible trophy and a sticker.
