The line about creating an account needs to be removed - that's only appropriate if the user is an IP, and there's actually a separate template for that. This was fleetingly discussed in December, but nothing was actually done about it. I think that the entire line should be removed. At the moment the template doesn't really make sense, which isn't doesn't create the best first impression for a new user. Since we have a separate IP welcome template, should we take out the part that relates to signing in/creating a username? Miles (talk) 21:10, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yes; chances are, the person has an account and is logged on when this template is put up (I noticed that this is put up when a new user makes a contribution), so the creating a username part should be taken out. Friedbeef1 Ho ho ho! 03:57, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
