Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll, really, but more of a popularity contest to see who is the better fighter. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.

The Rules, Briefly

Functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that week. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. You may vote only once. Once you voted, your decision is final and you cannot change your vote. If you are a user, please include your vote in the user section. If you are not a user, please include your vote in the anonymous section. It is important to do this because user votes will be 1 pts and anonymous votes will only have 1/2 a pt. Votes put in the wrong section will be deleted. Users who do not log in when they vote will be considered anonymous IPs, and their votes also will be deleted. When a new fight is created (which is every Friday), the previous fight's votes will be totaled and its winner decided. The fighter with the most votes WINS!!

  7. The only time I'd EVER vote against Mewtwo in the SA is against Roy. Mewtwo was my Main in Melee, with Roy. Mewtwo so owns Lucario's @$$, it isn't even funny. Long Live Mewtwo, and put him in SSB4--User:Mudkipz (talk) 18:02, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
  8. This is kind of thought, since even though Lucario's a fighting type, which is weak against psychic, he is also a steel type, which is resistant to psychic attacks...   4. Wanna' know why Mewtwo isn't wearing a scouter? He was fighting Lucario for awhile, only Mewtwo started getting tired while Lucario kept on pawnchin'. It was at this point that he took out his scouter to analyze Lucario's aura. Keep in mind Lucario had survived to precisely 182%. When Mewtwo saw the reading, he flipped, and his scouter spontaneously exploded from psychic rage. So yeah, that's why. AURA OVERWHELMING!   5. One, Mewtwo looks like a proper rejected lab experiment through and through (probably because he is.) Lucario's much cooler. But, when you think about it, despite their base stats, they abilities and general appearance seem somewhat similar. So...who would win this fight: dog vs. cat? Everybody knows that dogs always trample cats, so why should it be any different with Lucario and Mewtwo? They are reasonably balanced. Both can learn Aura Sphere and aura based moves like Dark Pulse, and they both learn Psychic and other Psychic-moves like Me First. Types don't excactly matter, because Mewtwo's Psychic hits Lucario regularly but can always use Aura Sphere or Focus Blast, while Lucario has Dark Pulse or Crunch. It's just the fact that Mewtwo is a super-powerd Uber and Lucario's a lower-end Standard Pokemon. But Smash appears to have changed all that. Plus, Lucario has a unique typing. Oh, and there are many Mewtwo's in the games and like Shadowcrest said, the anime is NOT canon. Nope. Mewtwo is male. So is Lucario. Anime is kinda stupid, but they do it rite sometimes. By the way, Mewtwo's worst stat is his Special defense. Lucario could do alot of damage with dark pulse, although it wouldn't be a one-hit KO. Did any of you know that Lucario's D-smash is based off of Dark pulse?   14. Bowser looks like "a cheap movie monster", to paraphrase Snake, plus the Squirtle line is one of the more awesome Pokemon lines. Although, in Pokemon terms, I'm not sure that I would classify Bowser as a Fire-type; more of a Dragon-type, which Water isn't great against, but Squirtle can learn Ice Beam in the games, which pwns Dragons, so the final effect is the same. Yes, I know that had nothing to do with Smash, but it's a popularity contest, not a forum to create a tier list, so I don't care.Bek The Conqueror (talk) 22:12, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
  15. I once had a match in the early days where the finish came down to my opponent's Bowser using his forward smash, and my Squirtle whipping out his just in time. Both moves super armored right into each other, and at the end, Squirtle was left standing as Bowser said goodbye to Battlefield. If that isn't epic, I don't know what is.
