The Home-Run Bat is an item appearing in all three Smash Bros. games. This item is a melee weapon. Performing a side smash A attack with this weapon will result in an almost guaranteed one hit KO or a "home-run." Performing this side smash will take more time than usual, and the player's character will sparkle before swinging the bat. If the swing makes contact, a high-pitched cracking noise will be heard. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Super Smash Bors. Brawl, a mode in the Stadium category entitled Home-Run Contest allows the player 10 seconds to hit the Sandbag as far as possible with a Home-Run Bat and their own attacks.
