==Character Description==
Dr. Eggman is a mad scientist who seeks to rule the world by enslaving small animals in his robots, but has always lost to [[Sonic the Hedgehog|Sonic]] and his friends, no matter how many plans he attempts. He is terribly immature, as he tends to throw tantrums when he loses. He is also very vain, as a lot of his robots resemble him. Lately, he has taken a backseat, serving as comic releif, or as the initial villain before the true villain of the game is revealed. Examples of this include Sonic Adventure, where Eggman is betrayed by Chaos, Sonic Adventure 2, where Eggman teams up with Sonic to save Earth from the Space Colony ARK and the Biolizard, Sonic Heroes, where Metal Sonic, his own creation, imprisons him and impersonates Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), where he is manipulated, like the heroes, by Mephiles, and Sonic Unleashed, where Dark Gaia throws him across the earth and attempts to take out Sonic. In the first four of these, plus Shadow the Hedgehog (the game), he has taken sides with Sonic and the heroes. He has appeared as the final boss in the Sonic Rush games alongside his new accomplice, Eggman Nega, who is Eggman from another dimension. His grandfather, Gerald Robotnik, made [[Shadow the Hedgehog]].

Dr. Eggman

A self-proclaimed scientific genius. Dr. Eggman sports an IQ of 300 and wants to conquer the world and build his evil empire of Eggmanland. An expert in his field, Dr. Eggman places robotics over all else in life--a reflection of his selfish personality. He doesn't know when to quit and always comes back for more no matter how many times he is defeated by Sonic.
