Ultimately, Sparg0 was able to deliver on this promise. Although his Round Robin stage was somewhat shaky, which included a close game 5 set with {{Sm|ApolloKage}} and being once again swifly defeated by Light, Sparg0 was able to tear through his Gauntlet Stage defeating MkLeo 3-1 and Glutonny 3-0. The main bracket saw Sparg0 quickly dispatch the rest of the top 4, with Sparg0 defeating both acola and Miya 3-1 despite both players putting up a noticeably more competitive fight than before. Most notable among this was Sparg0's surprising dominance over his two sets against Sonix, whom Sparg0 defeated in Winner Semis 3-0 and Grand Finals 3-1, using {{SSBU|Cloud}} for every game he won instead of [[Aegis]], the character Sparg0 normally used for the Sonic matchup. Sparg0's victory at this event, especially his clean victories against acola, Miya, and Sonix, led many to reassess his overall season: many players believed Sparg0's Watch The Throne maintained his #2 position, which was confirmed with his 2nd place on the [[LumiRank 2023]].

Sparg0 had high hopes going into 2024, looking to once again become the best player in the world after coming close many times before. One major problem for Sparg0 was his inconsistency, a statistic that he needed to imrpove. For the most part, Sparg0 was initially able to clear this up as for a majority of his season, as he wouldn't see a placement below 3rd and was able to consistently rank within the top 3. Sparg0 had strong runs at every tournament he attended; a 3rd place finish at {{Trn|GENESIS X}} and {{Trn|LMBM 2024,}} and a supermajor win in the form of {{Trn|Collision 2024}}. However, there were a few things holding Sparg0 back from being number 1; The large amount of major wins Miya was gaining, Sonix's consistency, as well as him only having one major win. He also developed a few problematic oponents during this time, as after The Coinbox IRL, he struggled to figure out which character woud work against Sonix, and lost four consecutive sets against him with neither [[Corrin]] nor [[Cloud]], as well as Mkleo, who defeated him in numerous sets despite finshing the ranking season in 25th. Perhaps looking to circumvent these problems, Sparg0 traveled to Japan, hoping to repeat his success in 2023 over there. However, Sparg0 would see a wash as he would lose to {{Sm|Rarikkusu}}, and {{Sm|Lv.1}} for 13th at {{Trn|DELTA #8}}, giving him even worse losses. While DELTA was somethign he could've come back from, in a similar vain to Super Smash Con 2023, Sparg0 saw his worst performance of the season by far after placing 33rd at {{Trn|Kagaribi#12}}, with losses to {{Sm|Toriguri}} and {{Sm|Noi}}, the latter of which wasn't even ranked in the top 50 that year. Sparg0 also failed to recover from these performances and with a 22-12 record against the top 50, ultimately ended the season off with a mediocre 5th place finish at {{Trn|S Factor 11}}. This resulted in him being placed 9th on the [[LumiRank2024.1]].
