Fire Bird is Falco's Up Special Move in both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The effects are as follows:
- Does 14% damage.
- Somewhat high priority.
- Lags at the beginning.
- If the control stick (or pad on remote) if held down during the charge time on the ground, Falco flies in the direction he was facing.
- In Brawl, opponents that are caught in the move will be dragged with Falco, similar to Lucas's PK Thunder when he hits himself with
it.
- Arguably the worst recover move in Melee
Unlike the Fire Fox, it doesn't burn opponents during the charge-up animation in Melee but, in Brawl it does. It also appears to cover a slightly shorter distance with less horizontal movement after completion.
