Mango is a smasher from Norwalk, California. He got his name in the 5th grade when he was playing the PC first-person shooter Counter-Strike and he was hungry so he put his name as "I want Mangos" and since that day everyone called him Mango. He has beaten many top pros in tournaments.

He placed 3rd in Singles at Evo World 2007, defeating many of the best known professional smashers. He placed 3rd in singles at Super Champ Combo, defeating many well-known players. In doubles he also placed 3rd with his partner Lucky, even beating the team of Ken and Isai. He is currently ranked #1 in the SoCal Melee Power Rankings.

On February 4, 2008 Mango won Pound 3, having beaten top professionals like Forward, Cort, PC Chris, Azen, Chu Dat, and Mew2King.

As of March 7th he is considered one of the best active Melee players in the world having beaten PC Chris, Chu Dat, Mew2King, and myriad other lesser smashers in the Revival Of Melee Tournament in Nanuet, New York, placing 1st.

On July 12th, 2009 Mango attended Genesis by DBR, that had 290 entrants in Melee Singles (Melee's largest tournament ever by that time), where he reached the Winner's Finals and lost 2-3 the first set against Armada, a Peach mainer regarded as the best player in Europe. After beating Hungrybox in Loser's Finals 3-0, Mango entered the Grand Finals against Armada, and had to win two sets to win the tournament. Mango won a very intense and close second set between these two 3-2, and then won the third set 3-0 to win the event. Since then, Mango has been regarded by many as the world champion of SSBM.
